The workshop made a significant contribution to a process of refining and delineating understanding about environmentally induced migration, and its relationship to climate change and a broad range of policy responses. The two major outcomes of the meeting was the initial definition of a global research and policy agenda, and the call for a Climate Change, Environment, and Migration Alliance (CCEMA) to move the agenda forward.
